DVD Collect lets you catalog every DVD, Blu-ray, 4K UHD, and digital title you own — complete with cover art, personal ratings, plot summaries, director and cast info, purchase history, and photos of the front and back of your physical case.

🔒 Privacy Policy

DVD Collect is a personal collection management app. All data you enter — movies, ratings, notes, photos, and settings — is stored securely in your private account and is never shared with third parties.

What We Store

• Your account email address (used for login only)
• Movie collection data you manually enter or import
• Personal ratings, reviews, and notes you create
• Photos of physical media you upload
• App preference settings (stored locally on your device)

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your data to any third party
• We do not share your collection or personal information with advertisers
• We do not use behavioral tracking or ad targeting
• We do not store passwords in plain text
• We do not transmit your data to analytics or marketing platforms

Third-Party Services

When you use the online movie search feature, the movie title query is sent to our AI service to retrieve results. No personally identifiable information is included in these queries. Authentication is handled securely and no passwords are stored in plain text.

Data Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the app, or by contacting us at the support email below.

🚫 No Data Collection Policy

DVD Collect does not collect, track, or analyze your personal usage data.

• No advertising trackers or SDKs
• No behavioral analytics (no Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
• No third-party data brokers
• No browsing habit tracking within the app
• No collection metadata transmitted to marketing services
• No crash analytics that include personal data

Any data stored exists solely to power the app's features for your personal use only. It is not processed, analyzed, or monetized in any way.

💾 Backup & Export Your Collection

Your collection belongs to you. DVD Collect lets you export and back up your entire library at any time in multiple formats — no lock-in, no subscriptions required to access your own data. If you ever lose your data after an update, you can re-upload your backup file below under "Restore from Backup" to get everything back instantly.

How to Back Up

1. Open DVD Collect and go to the Home screen
2. Tap the "Backup Collection" button below your stats
3. Choose your preferred format
4. The file downloads to your device automatically

You can also enable a monthly backup reminder in Settings → Backup & Export.

Restore / Import

To restore a backup, go to Settings → Backup & Export → Restore from Backup and upload your JSON file. Your collection will be re-imported automatically.
